the fibers, 250μm, are postttioned in a loose tube made of ahighmodulus plastic. the tubes are filled with awater-resistantfilling compound. the tube is wrapped with a layerof psplongitudinally. between the psp and the loose tubewater-blockingmaterial is applied to keep the cable compact andwatertight. twoparallel steel wires are placed at the two sides ofthe steel tape.the cable is completed with a polyethylene (pe)sheath.
