采用fob或cfr贸易术语时，在合同中应定明由买方投保。
例1.insurance:to bc covered by the buyers buyers after loading.装船后保险由买方负责。
如果买方委托卖方代为保险，则应明确规定保险金额、投保险别、按什么保险条款投保以及保险费由买方负担，同时规定保险费的支付时间和方法。
例2.insurance to be effected by the sellers on behalf of the buyers for…%ofinvoice value against all risks,premium to be for buyer's account.
保险由买方委托卖方按发票金额……%代为投保一切险，保险费由买方负担。
2.以cif或cip条件成交的合同
采用cif或cip条件成交的合同，条款内容须明确规定由谁办理保险、保险险别和保险金额的确定方法，按什么保险条款保险，并注明该条款的生效日期。

保险由卖方按发票金额的……%投保平安险，平安险按中国人民保险公司1981年1月1日的有关海洋运输货物保险条款为准。
3.加保附加险别的条款
例1.including risk of clashing and breakage.
加保碰损、破碎险。
例2.including shortage weight in excess of 0.5%on the whole consignment.
加保短量险，重量短少有绝对免赔率0.5%按全部货物计算。
例3.insurance to be effected by the sellers for….%of invoice value against w.a.and strike risk.
卖方按发票金额……%投保水渍险和罢工险。
