- without hard work, the talent will be wasted.托福独立口语范文：personally, i disagree with the statement that a person needs talent to be an artist. on top of the first, not everyone in the world has talent to be an artist. in contemporary society, many artists always work hard to make up for a lack of intelligence. just as tomas edison’s saying, genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration. this saying can fully address the importance of hard work. what’s more, talent will be wasted without hard work. if a gifted person abuses his/her talent, he/she would not become an artist. although talent is important for an artist to create wonderful works, persistent hard work is more vital to proceed the creation. therefore, i firmly believe that gift is not a must to be an artist.
