举个栗子：
在美国，互相道别时不说goodbye，而说have a nice day。
上厕所，内急，不说i want to go to the toilet，而是my nature calls.
今天就先来补充几个地道的口语表达：
thing
对于这个单词，大家都很熟悉，意思是“东西、事情”。
we all notice he has a thing for you.
我们都发现他似乎对你有意思。
have a thing for...可以表达“对……有好感”
being funny is chandlers thing and rosss thing is getting divorced.
钱德勒的特长是搞笑；而罗斯的特长是离婚。（美剧《老友记》。）
在这个句子里，thing是“特长，特点”的意思。
buy
这个单词常见的意思是购买，我们来看看其他用法：
he said he couldn’t pick me up because he had to work, but i don’t buy it.
他说不能来接我是因为他要上班。我才不信。
在这个句子中，buy是“相信”的意思。

when you lose your head, just follow your gut.

老外经常把这个词用作副词，放在一句话的最后表转折关系，类似于anyway。
