节能运行模式：轻载时降低电压减少了激磁电流，电机电流分为有功分量和无功分量（激磁分量）提高cos∮。
节能运行模式：当电动机负载轻时，软启动器在选择节能功能的状态下，pf开关热拨至y位，在电流反馈的作用下，软启动器自动降低电动机电压。减少了电动机电流的励磁分量。从而提高了电动机的功率因数（cos∮）。（国产软启动器多无此功能）在接触器旁路状态下无法实现此功能。tpf开关提供了节能功能的两种反应时间；正常、慢速。节能运行模式：自动节能运行。（正常、慢速两种反应速度）空载节能40%，负载节能5%。
