齐鲁石化热电厂的月度生产经济分析会公布数据显示，该厂锅炉因停用渣油，7个月就降低成本500多万元，实现了工艺革新促设备节能的新突破。
今年3月份，该厂停运了运行22年的锅炉渣油系统，并对渣油罐和800米管线进行全面吹扫，彻底告别了锅炉用渣油助燃的历史，翻开了老锅炉向高效节能转型新的一页。
作为齐鲁石化的自备电厂，齐鲁石化热电厂建厂初期设计投用了渣油系统，一是消耗公司自产废渣油，二是为锅炉设备点火和助燃，用来提高锅炉的热效率，保证锅炉的安全稳定运行。
随着2005年乙烯二轮改造后，渣油可二次提炼成化工原料，渣油市场走俏，价格上涨，该厂开始进行压减燃料油技术攻关。从几年前每年消耗燃油十几万吨到去年的耗燃油1000余吨，锅炉压减燃料油技术取得了突破性飞跃，锅炉的低负荷稳燃能力也越来越强，节能降耗成效显著。
为了早日实现停烧渣油的目标，近几年，他们一直努力开展压减燃料油的技术攻关。从大油枪换小油枪，从不间断投油到阶段性不投油，从每月几百次的稳燃试验到指标竞赛。
渣油系统停用后，锅炉设备不仅面临锅炉启动时不好点火的困境，而且在运行中随时要面临低负荷时“灭火事故”发生的风险。为了保证锅炉运行安全，他们首先对设备进行了“邻炉送粉”，“锅炉燃烧器” 等改造，反复进行锅炉低负荷稳燃试验。岗位人员不能像以前那样在锅炉运行不稳定或低负荷时投用渣油助燃，而要用责任心和多一倍的工作量来精心“看火”，用心调整操作，才能解决锅炉燃烧波动中引发的问题，保证锅炉设备运行的安全。该厂副总工程师王军明感慨地说，停用渣油助燃系统虽然不是技术改造项目，但这一工艺的革新，让节能迈出了转折性的一步。
