1.认识不锈钢
随着经济的发展，在日常生活中，人们对不锈钢的使用，越来越广泛，不锈钢与人们的生活，息息相关。然而，很多人对不锈钢的性能并不熟悉，对不锈钢的维护与保养，更不是不了解。人们普遍认为：不锈钢是永不生锈的。不锈钢之所以不长锈，是因其具有良好的耐腐蚀性。在不锈钢表面，有一层使之不易长锈的保护膜——钝化膜。在自然界中，这层钝化膜是以稳定的氧化物的形态的存在。人们日常生活中，通过正确的实用和保养，不破坏钝化膜，才能有效增保持不锈钢产品的实用寿命并使其光亮如新。
2.正确使用不锈钢
1）定期清洁保养，不锈钢表面应当保持干净。清洗表面时，应避免表面划伤，避免使用漂白成分以及研磨剂的洗涤液，钢丝球、研磨工具等；
2）不锈钢表面有灰尘以及易除掉污垢物的，可用肥皂，弱洗涤剂或温水洗涤。
3）不锈钢表面的商标、贴膜，应用温水、弱洗涤剂来洗、粘结剂成份、酒精或有机溶剂(乙醚、苯)擦洗。
4）不锈钢表面的油脂、油、润滑油污染，先用柔软的布擦干净后，再用中性洗涤剂或专用洗涤剂清洗。
5）不锈钢表面有漂白剂以及各种酸附着，应立即用水冲洗，再用中性碳酸苏打水溶液浸洗、用中性洗涤剂或温水清洗。
6）不锈钢表面若有彩虹纹，是过多使用洗涤剂或油引起，洗涤时应用温水和中性洗涤剂擦洗。
7）不锈钢表面污物引起的锈，可用10%硝酸或研磨洗涤剂洗涤，也可用专门的洗涤药品洗涤。
