一般的滤波器主要用来减少对主电源的干扰影响。穆尔电子的滤波器不仅减少那些会影响敏感元器件的外部干扰，同时也减少元器件自身对于之连接设备的干扰，这些干扰同样会影响主电源。最典型的持续干扰源如，开关电源，电机或相位控制器。滤波器一般由电感和电容组成，当他们的阻抗和干扰源匹配时将达到最佳的效果。关于接地，低阻抗是非常关键的。理论上，滤波器应该尽可能的靠近接入控制柜的设施电线。如果现场环境不允许，那么设施电线接入点到滤波器的电线需要用屏蔽线。接地线需要尽可能的短并且接触点必须没有油漆阻隔等
