thevcm2 for land rover connectsdirectly to the vehicle obdii (diagnostic) connector and then to alaptop via a usb cable for use with sdd.  oncethej2534dllfilesare loaded, this product will allow normal operation with thejlr sdd diagnostic tool.
the device is designed as areplacement pass-through vehicle communications device that can beused for the majority of thejlrsdddiagnosticapplications.  only scp communications are not possiblewith this device.
how does the vcm2 for land rover operate inj2534 mode?
thevcm2 for land rover device issimple and easy to use.
l   please readthe user manual firstly before using, install the software afterwatching the video oruser manual in the dvd.
l   connect thej2534 device to the vehicle obdii connector (the device powers fromthe vehicle).
l   connect the12ft usb cable to the j2534 device and the other end to the sddlaptop.
l   the redvehicle power (pwr) led will illuminate to show that the device ispowered.
l   duringcommunication with the vehicle the status (sts) led will flashgreen.
l   the deviceinteracts with the sdd diagnostic tool in the same way as theexisting vcm.
