bw-200型泥浆泵为卧式双缸双作用往复活塞式泵，主要用于岩心钻探中向钻井内供给冲洗液，与同类型泵比较该泵具有体积小，重量轻，更适合于地质勘探上使用。
bw—200型泥浆泵秉为适应于金刚石钻进的需要配备有二种直径的缸套φ80的缸套可供合金，钢粒钻进时600米钻机的正常使用，φ65缸套可供小口径金钢石钻进1000米钻机的正常使用。
