the ltr-507als-rm is an integrated i2c digital light sensor [als] and proximity sensor [ps] with built-in leddriver, in a miniature chipled lead-free surface mount package. this device converts light intensity to a digital output signal capable of direct i2c interface. it provides a linear response over awide dynamic range and is well suited to applications under high ambient brightness. with built-in proximity sensor, ltr-507als-rm offers the feature to detect object at a user configurable distanceof typical 50cm gray card.
the device supports an interrupt feature that removes the need to poll the sensor for a reading which improvessystem efficiency. the device also supports several features that help to minimize the occurrence of false triggering. this cmos design and factory-set one time trimming capability ensure minimaldevice-to-device variations for ease of manufacturability to the end customers.
