bi5170 is designed for led displays with gain controlextension. mbi5170 also exploits precisiondrive? technology toenhance its output characteristics.mbi5170 contains an 8-channelshift register and an 8-bit output latch, which convert serialinput data into parallel output format. at mbi5170 outputstages,eight regulated current ports are designed to provideuniform and constant current sinks with small skew between portsfor driving leds with a wide range of forward voltage (vf)variations. the excellent output accuracy is within ±3% betweenchannels and within ±6% between ics. users may adjust the outputcurrent from 5 ma to 120 ma with an external resistor rext, whichgives users flexibility in controlling the light intensity of leds.mbi5170 guarantees to
endure maximum 17v at the output ports. besides, thehigh clock frequency up to 25 mhz also satisfies the systemrequirements of high volume datatransmission
