磁铁矿滤料介绍
磁铁矿滤料的原材料就是磁铁矿石，其主要含铁矿物为磁铁矿，其化学式为fe3o4，其中feo31%，fe2o3＝69%，理论含铁量为72.4%。这种矿石有时含有tio2及v2o5组合复合矿石，分别称为钛磁铁矿或矾钛磁铁矿。在自然纯磁铁矿矿石很少遇到，常常由于地表氧化作用使部分磁铁矿氧化转变为半假象赤铁矿和假象赤铁矿。所谓假象赤铁矿就是磁铁矿（fe3o4）氧化成赤铁矿（fe2o3），但它仍保留原来磁铁矿的外形，所以叫做假象赤铁矿。
磁铁矿滤料特点
磁铁矿具有强磁性，晶体常成八面体，少数为菱形十二面体。集合体常成致密的块状，颜色条痕为铁黑色，半金属光泽，相对密度4.9～5.2，硬度5.5～6，无解理，脉石主要是石英及硅酸盐。还原性差，一般含有害杂质硫和磷较高。
磁铁矿滤料是三层滤料滤池的必备材料，它具有过滤速度快、截污能力强、使用周期长等特点。磁铁矿滤料，外观呈球状，机械强度高，不含有毒有害物质，比重4.5g/cm3,容量2.95g/cm3英式硬度5.5-5.6。磁铁矿滤料适用于管式大阻力配水系统。在三层滤池中通常它无烟煤滤料、石英砂滤料配合，是较好的配料程序，反冲洗时不易混成，对改进承托层和配水系统有着良好的适应性能，是多层滤池中必不可少的滤料，滤速可达30-40米/时的优势。所以磁铁矿滤料是一种重要的滤料产品。

磁铁矿滤料用途
在双层(多层)滤料过滤中，磁铁矿滤料都是必不可少的主要过滤材料，磁铁矿滤料由于使用的颗粒粒径最小，在双层(多层)，滤料过滤中都是起着处理水质最后把关的作用，因此磁铁矿滤料质量是否合格直接关系到水处理最终水质。
在国内大多数工业水处理中，采用的过滤形式都是压力过滤形式，压力过滤器的过滤压力和反冲洗压力都比较大，在垫层中使用比重大的磁铁矿垫料，可以随较大的反冲洗压力，如果使用比重小或不合格的垫料，容易造成滤料和垫料在反冲洗过程中出现混层，过滤器很快失去过滤作用。
