  these nozzles outlined here are primarily used for dust suppression, or humidication, but can also be used for other purposes which require complete atomization of low ows of liquids. these nozzles are air-driven, acoustic oscillators which atomize liquids by passing air through a convergent/ divergent section into a resonator cap where it is reected back to compliment and amplify the primary shockwave. the result is an intense eld of sonic energy focused between the nozzle body and the resonator cap. any liquid capable of being pumped into the shockwave is vigorously sheared into droplets in the acoustic eld.the nozzles are self-cleaning and will not clog. large orices and low pressure virtually eliminate orice wear and prevent deterioration of the quality of atomization, while greatly extending useful nozzle life.
